My community rate is 25% less than the actual cost of my time and resources in offering my services.
Consider whether the following statements apply to your financial situation, and if they do, please choose this rate:
I frequently stress about meeting basic needs (food, housing, transportation) and don’t always achieve them
I have significant debt, which sometimes prohibits me from meeting my basic needs
I rent lower-end housing or have unstable housing
I do not have a car or I do have a car but cannot always drive it due to not being able to pay for gas or repairs
I am unemployed, underemployed, or on a fixed income (disability or pension)
I have no access to savings
I cannot afford a vacation or have the ability to take time off without financial burden
I am supporting dependants (children, aging parents, or others), which greatly limits or eliminates any expendable income
I am a returning citizen (formerly incarcerated) and face employment discrimination
I experience discrimination in hiring or pay level due to systemic inequality (racism, sexism, ableism, etc.)
-
My full rate is the actual cost of the time, expertise, and resources it takes to offer my services. The full rate does not equate to excessive profit, just to fair compensation. Paying at this level supports my ability to continue offering my services sustainably.
Consider whether the following statements apply to your financial situation, and if they do, please choose this rate:
I may stress about meeting my basic needs (food, housing, transportation), but still regularly achieve them
I may have some debt, but it does not prevent you from meeting your basic needs
I have reliable transportation (own/lease w car, use public transit without financial strain)
I am employed
I do not have dependants that significantly impact my disposable income
I might have access to some financial savings (investments, retirement accounts, or inheritance)
I can spend money on non-essential items (eg. coffee shops, books, concerts, new clothes, etc.)
I am able to travel when needed without great financial burden, especially for an unexpected occasion, like a family funeral or emergency

My pay-it-forward rate is 25% more than my full rate and directly supports making my services accessible to those experiencing financial hardship. If you have financial means, choosing this rate helps redistribute wealth within my community.
Consider whether the following statements apply to your financial situation, and if they do, please choose this rate:
I can comfortably meet all my basic needs (food, housing, transportation)
I may have some debt, but it does not prohibit attainment of basic needs
I own my home OR I rent a higher-end property
I own or lease a working vehicle
I am employed or do not need to work to meet my needs (including full-time students with financial support)
I have a relatively high earning potential due to level of education, professional connections, or generational wealth
I have access to financial savings (investments, retirement accounts, or inheritance)
I have access family wealth or financial safety nets in case of hardship
I can regularly afford non-essentials (coffeeshops, new clothes, concerts, books, etc.)
I can travel for recreation or take time off if needed without financial burden
If you choose the Pay-it-Forward rate, know that you are directly helping someone access this service who otherwise wouldn’t be able to.
Sliding Scale Pricing
Spiritual and self-reflective practices should not be a luxury – they should be available to everyone, regardless of financial status.
I offer a sliding scale pricing model, inspired by the educational framework and graphic “The Green Bottle: Where You Fall on the Sliding Scale” by Alexis J. Cunningfolk.
This system allows you to choose a rate that aligns with your financial reality while ensuring my work remains sustainable and accessible.
How to choose which rate you pay:
Read through the criteria for each pricing tier.
If you feel like you fall between two tiers, be honest about whether paying the higher rate would cause significant financial hardship, or just temporary trade-offs.
Remember that I do not verify income - this is an honor system. Your integrity and honest personal self-reflection helps keep this offering available to all.
Why Sliding Scale Matters
We live in a system that does not distribute resources equitably. This pricing model allows those with financial means to support those without, creating a more just and accessible economy.
Thank you for being part of this vision of mutual support and accessibility!
